Who can attend?
The Beginner’s wheel throwing workshop level 2 builds upon the skills and techniques learnt in the level 1 workshop. Even if you have not attended the Level 1 workshop, you can attend this if you have some prior experience with wheel throwing and are looking forward to further developing your skills. The workshop will cover advanced techniques such as making larger pieces, throwing off the hump, and altering and decorating thrown forms.
What will you learn?
- Throwing with 600 grams to 1000 grams of clay
- Larger pots, taller cylinders, bottles and pots with lids
- Decorating: Techniques for decorating the surface of the pottery
- Troubleshooting: Strategies for addressing common problems that may arise while throwing, such as uneven walls or pottery that is out of round.
- Glazes: Information on mixing glaze recipes and how to apply glaze to pottery.
Points to note
- Free Potter’s Kit will be provided on the first day. The Potter’s Kit will have a Brand New cotton Apron exclusively for you, a toolkit containing all essential tools for pottery making and all this packed is a nice and easy to carry cotton bag so that you can always have the access to your personal tools apron.
- Shelf space for storing the clay and articles made by you
- Only 10 articles can be glazed and fired for the student. This is subject to size of the article. The instructor will decide which 10 can go for firing
- During the entire duration of the course in case you miss a class due to unforeseen circumstances, 2 compensatory classes will be. These classes will be given only on Thursday and Friday. More than 2 classes cannot be given. The availability will be basis of slots. Studio has all rights to decide when can the compensatory classes be given
- In case the student fails to attend that class also then no other compensatory classes will be given.
- Extra clay, extra glaze and extra firing will be chargeable as per the rate card. • Students can choose to buy more practice hours post the classes. Please contact the studio manager for more details and slot availability.
Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy
- The booking amount includes GST. A receipt & payment acknowledgement will be auto-mailed to you post the booking.
- GST Invoice will be given once you visit the studio for workshop
- As the seats are limited, cancellation is possible only if the cancellation request has been made at least 7 days before the course begins.
- Any cancellation with refund will attract 3% deduction towards the payment gateway charges. The charges are deducted by the Payment Gateway directly.
- No show or absence in the workshop cannot be considered for refund.
- The course comes as a full package. In case the student misses any class or does not attend further classes, no refund or no partial refund will be provided
- Bookings will open 20 days in advance. You can book online through our website www.mudeffects.com.
- The announcement related to opening of workshop booking will be done through our website and social media as well.
- Seats can be blocked only after 100% payment
