Who can attend?
This workshop is for people who want to try their hands on pottery & learn basics of ceramic pottery making. It is open to people of all skill levels including beginners. No prior experience is required to participate in this workshop. This Pottery workshop is also great for people who are looking forward to spend 2 days creatively or for those who are interested in learning a new skill or hobby.
What will you learn?
In the two-day pottery & ceramic workshop, you will learn the basic techniques for working with clay and creating pottery pieces.
Day 1:
You will learn how to prepare clay for use, how to center it on the pottery wheel. You’ll learn how to use the pottery wheel to create shapes such as bowls & pots
Day 2:
You will learn making of handle for your pots, decoration and carving and finishing your pot
Points to Note
- There is nothing that needs to be carried by you for the workshop. Tools, materials, apron and consumables will be provided at the studio.
- We will provide you a very fine quality and very elastic stoneware clay for the workshop.
- The articles that are on wet-stage are not allowed to carried as they are fragile when unfired.
- Firing charges and Glaze charges are included in the fee. Only 2 articles will be fired and glazed by us. The size of pots will be limited to the size of the Kiln. Any article beyond the limit of 2 will be chargeable.
- Before firing the articles, it needs to dry up properly. Drying depends on the weather conditions therefore it may take longer sometimes for the articles to become dry.
- Drying and firing can take more then 10 days (sometime more), Once firing is completed, you need to pick up your articles from the studio. Articles will be handed over only on weekends between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Due to space constraints, articles not picked within a month will be discarded.
- Wear appropriate clothing that makes working on the wheel comfortable for you.
- Keep the workspace clean and free of residual clay. Wipe down your work area, tools, and equipment after use.
- Keep noise levels to a minimum to maintain a peaceful and creative environment.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the studio premises
- The session will start at sharp 11:00 am followed by Demo. The workshop will end at 1:00 pm. Please respect other’s time and be on time for the workshop.
Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy
- The booking amount includes GST. A receipt & payment acknowledgement will be auto-mailed to you post the booking.
- GST Invoice will be given once you visit the studio for workshop
- No show or absence in the workshop cannot be considered for refund.
- cancellation and refund can be possible 24 hour before the workshop.
- rescheduling the workshop is not possible.
- Any cancellation will attract 3% deduction towards the payment gateway charges. The charges are deducted by the Payment Gateway directly
- Seats can be blocked only after 100% payment.
